Microsoft CRM Contacts Outlook Synchronization

I want to keep my worlds apart!  How do I stop my Microsoft CRM contacts from synchronizing to my Outlook Contacts folder?

If you are using Microsoft CRM and you do not want your contacts synchronized to your contacts folder, you can easily adjust your settings.  The "Offline Filters" handle this issue.

I’ve attached the screenshot below to help, but here are the steps:
1.       Select “CRM” from your Outlook menu
2.       Select “Options”
3.       Click “Synchronization” tab
4.       Click “Outlook Filters”
5.       Select the item that you want to stop synchronizing, in this case “My Contacts”
6.       Click the Stop icon
7.       Click “OK”

Contacts should be the only item that you would want to stop synchronizing.  If you stop one of the activities like phone calls from synching, you won’t get the Outlook pop up reminder, which is helpful.

You can also shortcut steps 3&4 by clicking “Offline Filters” right from the CRM menu in Outlook.
