one of the two depending on your computer’s processor. ·
·
If you have a 64 bit processor, download the top file:
CRM2011-Client-ENU-amd64.exe ·
·
If you have a 32 bit processor, download the bottom file:
CRM2011-Client-ENU-i386.exe If you don’t know what your computer process speed is, click
here and follow the instructions to
find out. · You’ll need to be running Outlook 2010 or 2007 (2003 also works, but not as well) and need to have Internet Explorer 7, 8 or 9 installed on the computer. Once the file is downloaded, a box will indicate that the
download is complete and ask you what you want to do next. Run the installation file and click
“OK” through the prompts to install it on your computer. Configure the Outlook Connector Once the file is downloaded the file you will need to configure

it is open. It will not cause a problem if it is open when you start the
process, but the configuration will not execute until you close Outlook. The configuration wizard is now open and active. ·

“CRM Online”, otherwise enter the appropriate location and the web address

under the mail folders in Outlook. You are now able to access CRM through
Outlook.. Configure your Connector User Settings One of the major benefits of the Outlook Connector is that your
received e-mail can be automatically tracked to the appropriate CRM lead or
contact and you can send e-mail from CRM. Both of these features are
disabled by default, but can be setup with only a few clicks. Open your CRM Options Box ·
In Outlook 2007, this is located at the top of Outlook. Click the word CRM (not the CRM icon) ·
Click “Options” ·
When the "Set Personal Options" dialogue box (shown
below) opens, click the E-mail tab ·
Place check marks next to the first two options o
The top allows you to send e-mail out of CRM using Outlook o
The second allow Outlook to track incoming e-mail to CRM ·
In the “Track” section, you can choose how incoming e-mails
are tracked. By default, this is “E-mail messages in response to CRM”.
o
Choose the tracking level that meets your organization's needs,
such as "E-mail messages in response to CRM e-mail" or “E-mail
messages from CRM Leads, Contacts and Accounts”. o
The second option will automate the tracking of more e-mail, but
make unintentionally track e-mail not intended for CRM. ·
Click “OK” to save your changes.
When an e-mail is tracked in CRM, you will notice that the icon
in outlook is changed from the typical mail icon to an icon of two people.
